Texas Monthly released a list of “The 25 Best New (Or Improved!) Taquerias in Texas,” and Plano’s Taco King has made the list.
Taco King opened in 2024, offering halal tacos that bring together the flavors of East Los Angeles and Palestinian food, nods to the owner’s hometown and heritage, respectively.
Texas Monthly Taco Editor José R. Ralat recommends the signature King Taco, which he describes as “an asiago-forward costra filled with well-seasoned carne asada.”
The menu features tacos ($5.75-$6.75), tostadas ($9.99), a burrito ($13.99), quesadilla ($7.99), quesobirria ($15.99), nachos ($14.99) and pistachio horchata ($8.99) or Jarritos ($3.75) to drink.
King Taco is located at 4100 14th St., parked at the Valero on the corner of Los Rios and 14th.
