Urban Crust to celebrate 15 years with free event benefitting Hope’s Door New Beginnings

After 15 years on 15th Street, Urban Crust is celebrating big with a free event at McCall Plaza on July 1 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Urban Crust Wood-Fired Pizzas and 32° Rooftop Bar is celebrating 15 years in Downtown Plano with a “15 on 15th Celebration” on Monday, July 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. at McCall Plaza.

The free event, hosted by owners Bonnie and Nathan Shea and executive chef/partner Salvatore Gisellu and wife Jeanne-Marie, will feature wood-fired pizza, signature drinks, raffles and a DJ. There will also be photographers available for photo opps and a “step and repeat” at the entrance with a red carpet.

Fifteen percent of sales from the restaurant on the day of the event will benefit Hope’s Door New Beginnings, an area nonprofit that offers intervention and prevention services to individuals and families affected by intimate partner and family violence.

“The mission of Hope’s Door New Beginning Center is to offer intervention and prevention services to individuals and families affected by intimate partner and family violence and to provide education programs that enhance the community’s capacity to respond,” said Mary Elaine
Benton, director of development for Hope’s Door New Beginning Center.

Though the event is free, those interested can register online.

“Fifteen years in business is a huge milestone for any company, but it feels extra special in the restaurant industry,” Nathan Shea said. “We know the restaurant world is tough, and many don’t make it to the point we’re at today. We are grateful to have had so much support from the greater Plano area these last 15 years.”

Urban Crust is located at 1006 E 15th Street.
