The North Pole has moved to North Texas as Grandscape officially kicks off its Holiday Magic extravaganza.

This winter shopping, dining and entertainment wonderland in The Colony is on a world-class scale, featuring retail vendors and bountiful selections from more than two dozen restaurants.

Anchored by retail big boys Nebraska Furniture Mart and Scheels, Grandscape gives off a village-esque vibe as it’s home to plenty of local artisans and family-owned businesses.

Don’t miss these upcoming holiday events, many of which are free while a few others require a ticket:

• The family-friendly “Whoville in the Homestead” with the Grinch and the adult sip-and-stroll activity (November 27-28).
• Holiday Crunch & Munch fitness series, followed by small bites from Grandscape restaurants (Wednesdays in November and December).
  Holiday Gingerbread Decorating (December 9).
• Homestead for the Holidays (Dec. 13-17) shop, shop, shop! Photos with Frosty the Snowman, ornament making, a holiday wine walk and Santa Paws — adopt a new fur baby or bring your own pooch along to celebrate the season.
• Holiday Jazz Series (Sundays in December).
• 12 Days of Holiday Magic giveaways (December 12-23). Follow along via social media for daily goodies. Grandscape will highlight various shops and restaurants with items to surprise and delight winning recipients. Follow on Instagram at @GrandscapeTX for the giveaways.
• Storytime with Santa and Mrs. Claus (December 21).
• Miscellaneous holiday craft workshops — such as wreath-making — special performances, live music and more throughout the holiday season.
