Visit Plano is bringing back the Taste of Plano Foodie pass with more coupons and prizes and even bigger prize sweepstakes, Visit Plano said in a press release.

The free mobile program allows local and visitors alike to use a “passport” that showcases 84 Plano eateries. Passport holders gain access to special discounts and other perks with their purchases. Each visit to a participating restaurant gains the passport holder points that can be cashed in for prizes provided by Visit Plano.

Participating restaurants include local staples like Better Than Sex or Mexican Bar Company or chain favorites like Bellagreen American Bistro or Brasão Brazilian Steakhouse. Restaurants aren’t the only places that bring in points – Fowling Warehouse DFW, Pinstack and area hotels are also participating.

Those who check into 20 restaurants by Sept. 30 will be entered into the “Fit for Foodie” sweepstakes for a chance to win a certificate for a charcuterie board-making class for six led by Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West’s executive chef, a one-night stay at the Hilton/Dallas Plano Granite Park and $250 in restaurant gift cards, or a one-night weekend stay at the Dallas/Plano Marriot at Legacy Town Center and $100 in restaurant gift cards.

“The ‘Taste of Plano’ foodie pass program consistently earns rave reviews from restaurant-goers,” said Visit Plano Director Mark Thompson. “Even longtime area residents say it has inspired them to discover eateries that are new to them, and a whole new world of food in their own backyard.”

To participate, all you have to do is go to the Taste of Plano webpage, sign up and follow the instructions sent to your phone.
