Bring on the lederhosen, beer and German fare; Oktoberfeast is returning to Legacy Hall on September 24.

Oktoberfeast brings the German holiday to Plano with live polka music all day by The Dogensteins, steinholding competitions, German fare and loads of beer.

The Box Garden will serve up jalapeno cheddar sausage on a stick and Bavarian pretzels from the Brisket Love pop-up. For beer fans, guests can get a souvenir beer stein with the purchase of a Sam Adams OctoberFest beer for $15. The steins are refillable all weekend long for $7.

A male and female steinholding competition starts at 5:30 p.m. for those 21 or older. The competition features a traditional Bavarian strength contest where competitors hold a one-liter beer stein with arms extended parallel to the ground for as long as possible.

General admission to the event is free, and VIP tickets are $60. VIP tickets include access to the VIP seating area, 1 TX jalapeno cheddar sausage on a stick, 1 Bavarian pretzel by Brisket Love, 1 branded beer stein, 1 beer and a sample of Sam Adams limited edition pumpkin flavored beer.

The schedule for September 25 events are as follows:

12:30PM – Keg Hoisting Competition
1-2:30PM – The Dogensteins
2:30PM – Mr. & Mrs. Oktoberfeast
3-4PM – The Dogensteins
4-5PM – Stein Olympics
