From preschool to professional, Plano Public Library (PPL) has something for everyone. Take a look at PPL’s free programs – offered both in-person and virtually – for all your educating and entertaining needs:
- Create with All Your Senses at Sense-ational Art (All Ages)
Sense-ational Art invites families to dive into a world of creativity that engages more than just the eyes! This hands-on, all-ages program explores process art through movement, touch, and sound. From rolling marbles dipped in paint to drawing by feel or transforming sounds into shapes and colors, every activity celebrates the joy of creation over perfection. Come ready to move, imagine, and get a little messy because at Sensational Art, the process is the masterpiece! Space is limited, so plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early to save your spot.

Learn the ultimate survival skills, no apocalypse required! In this program, participants will learn how to build an emergency bag, create a family evacuation plan, and prepare for real-life disasters like floods, fires, or ice storms all through the fun (and slightly spooky) lens of a zombie outbreak. With hands-on stations and scenario challenges, teens will leave ready to take on zombies and natural disasters like true survival pros.
Don’t wait for the apocalypse, plan for it! Gather your crew and join Operation Survival: Zombie Preparedness for an unforgettable (and possibly life-saving) adventure.

Participants will test their skills through guided activities and take home a free water-saving tool kit to keep the fixes flowing long after the workshop ends.
