After more than nine years of benefiting the car-loving community and local charities, Cars and Coffee Dallas will hold its last show on Dec. 1 at Classic BMW Plano. The monthly car meetup began in 2009 and drew crowds of over 1,000 guests on its busiest months.
According to a statement on the Cars and Coffee Facebook page, as the show grew over time, the event staff were disappointed to see the quality of the cars in attendance decline. In an effort to raise the bar, they tried to remind participants to strongly consider whether their car was unique enough to be show worthy; however, the staff decided it was time to cease hosting the event.
Classic BMW has always had a desire to provide motorsports eye candy to attendees of the monthly Saturday morning events. And for this last show on Dec. 1 , Classic BMW upholds the right to deny entry to those vehicles they do not consider show worthy.
Via their Facebook page, Classic BMW thanked the owners who showed their unique cars off through the years, and those who donated generously to the various monthly causes.
The beneficiary for this last Cars and Coffee meetup is Toys for Tots. It is suggested that event attendees donate a toy (suggested $15 minimum value), give a donation for a cup of coffee or purchase a Cars and Coffee t-shirt, with proceeds going to Toys for Tots.
