Jazz comes to Haggard Park Thursday

The ArtCentre of Plano is inviting residents to pack a picnic, grab a bottle of wine and come out to Haggard Park Thursday night for a good time in the great outdoors.  Collin County Jazz Under the Stars begins at 6 p.m. Aug. 19 with a performance from popular Dallas band Private Property. They are well-known in the area for their lively shows at various clubs and private events across the area

If you can’t make this one, don’t worry.  Jazz Under the Stars will also be held on the third Thursday of the next two months, Sept. 16 and Oct. 21.

Wow. A sign might have been helpful, Plano! Spent and hour walking around haggard park, trying to call SOMEONE who knew what happened to jazz under the stars- if the time was wrong- especially since I received the email about it today! Finally found an article (from who?! ) The Dallas morning news that said the event was canceled due to COVID concerns- 16 hours ago!! Not the plano star courier or any plano website. Silence. And seriously?!? It’s outside…at the park…and yet concerns about COVID?! We have always participated in the great things Plano has to offer. But lately… just not worth the effort for a bunch of confusion and cancellations-COVID or not. You can do better Plano.
