The complimentary bags are available at Visit Plano, located behind J. Crew in Legacy West Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As Black History Month comes to a close, Legacy West has partnered with area artist Desiree Vaniecia to create complimentary ‘Harmonizing History’ tote bags.

Vaniecia is a contemporary artist whose work combines vivid colors, dynamic compositions and mixed media to evoke emotions and encourage deeper reflection through her portrayals of representation of Black women, according to her website.

Her tote designs are inspired by the sounds that provide the soundtrack to her life, evoking nostalgia and celebrating the cultural significance of African American music, Legacy West said in a news release. A Spotify code is also embedded in the design, allowing viewers to listen to the songs that inspired the art.

The tote bags are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Visit Plano, located behind J. Crew in Legacy West.
