Ramadan has kicked into gear, filling the month with opportunities for Muslim neighbors to celebrate the holiday and break fast. Though there is plenty of ways to celebrate, bazaars, speakers and markets throughout the month are hosted around Plano. Here are a few:
On Sunday, March 9 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Grand Ramadan Bazaar is hosting vendors from Pakistan and the subcontinent along with designer collections and custom wear. The event will take place at Crystal Banquet at 6300 Independence Parkway.
During the first 20 nights of Ramadan, Nouman Ali Khan will be at EPIC (East Plano Islamic Center) presenting Striking Examples: Contemplating the Profound Parables in the Quran in the Nights of Ramadan, following the Taraweeh prayer.
To celebrate the end of Ramadan, EPIC is also hosting a Chand Raat Grand Eid Bazaar on March 20 from 5 to 11 p.m. There will be jewelry, clothing, home decor, food bazaar and food trucks.
Finally, on March 29-30, the ‘Biggest Chand Raat Mela‘ with a surprise artist, kids activities, food, clothing, jewelry, Mehendi and a live concert from 12 p.m. until midnight. The event will take place at Serene Event Center, located at 2060 W Spring Creek Parkway.
