Texas country music legend Roger Creager will perform at the Courtyard Theater Aug. 25. The Corpus Christi-based singer-songwriter has been a regular on the music scene since releasing his first album in 1998. He recently dropped a new EP titled “Gulf Coast Time.” It’s a collection of songs that he says captures his sense of adventure.
The show is the latest installment of the Courtyard Texas Music Series. More information and a link to purchase tickets can be found on the City of Plano website.
Also coming to Plano this month are the Selfless Lovers. They will play a free show at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 14 ad McCall Plaza in downtown Plano. The Austin band is known for its high-energy piano-driven rock music.
For those not quite ready to get out in a big crowd, Plano is hosting a series of live online art classes each Monday at noon. Each class will focus on a different item to create using watercolors, colored pencils, markers or crayons. The Aug. 9 installment will focus on mermaids. That will be followed by sunflowers on Aug. 16, unicorns on Aug. 23 and dogs on Aug. 30. All classes are saved on the Plano Arts & Events Facebook page and can be accessed at any time.
