Shakertins, a restaurant and bar that has thrived in Allen and The Colony thanks to its craft cocktails, delicious bar food and fun ambiance, opens this week in Plano. The restaurant will be opening at The Shops at Legacy’s north side, taking over the space that once held Twisted Root.
“After being with the company the last few years, I have seen the Shakertins brand grow into a fun, neighborhood bar. And after they year we just had, we all need a little fun back in our lives,” said operating partner Neil Mawad. “We love taking care of our neighbors and industry friends, and we are excited to bring the party back to The Shops at Legacy North.”
The interior space of the new Shakertins is 3,500 square feet with a 1,000-square-foot outdoor patio. There is also a separate space for corporate meetings and private events that can accommodate between 15 to 20 people. It will serve as a VIP lounge at night.
The restaurant also features three pool tables, 13 HD televisions and DJs on the weekends. There are daily drink specials. Monday: free pool, $1 pint and $4 pitchers. Tuesday: $2 street tacos, Sol beer and Milagro tequila. Wednesday: $5 Jack Daniels.
Happy hour runs Monday through Friday until 7 p.m. with half-price appetizers, half-price craft cocktails, $4 wells and $1 off all draft beer and wine. Shakertins also offers discounts for service industry workers.
The menu includes classic bar food such as burgers, pizza, nachos, wings, street tacos, sandwiches, crispy fries, house-made slaw and hand-cut onion rings. The restaurant is set to open Friday, March 12.
