Tongue in Cheek Ice Cream Coming to Plano

Popular Richardson-based Tongue in Cheek Ice Cream recently announced plans to open a second outpost in East Plano. The new location will be at 3505 East Park Boulevard near Bob Woodruff Park.

Tongue in Cheek was started in July 2019 by retired Richardson Firefighter Brett Smith.  It quickly gained a loyal following by offering an array of homemade ice cream including unique flavors like hatch butter pecan and chocolate whiskey cake. It also features a rotating selection of seasonal flavors.

On social media, Tongue in Cheek is known for its “name of the day” promotion.  Each day, a few selected first names are announced.  People who have those names can then swing by for a free scoop on that day.

An exact opening date for the new Plano location has yet to be announced.
