Celebrate the Arts, the annual showcase of Collaborative Arts of Plano groups, is back on August 15 at the Courtyard Theater.
This year, there will be a children’s matinee at 2:30 p.m. with child-friendly performances, make-and-take activities in the lobby and a hands-on musical instrument “Petting Zoo” presented by the Plano Symphony Orchestra.
The evening showcase at 7 p.m. will include remarks from civic leaders along with 20 performances by CAP groups. In the lobby, there will be exhibits and a visual arts exhibition.
Following the evening performance, attendees can stay for an afterparty in the Courtyard Theater lobby with music, a DJ, wine, snacks and meet-and-greets with some of the performers.
Tickets for the children’s matinee are $10. The evening performance is $20. Raffle tickets are available for $5 for prizes valued over $2,000, according to a news release.
