Developer Triten Real Estate Partners has unveiled tentative plans for the Plano Market Square Mall site near the northeast corner of K Avenue and Spring Creek Parkway.  It will soon be renamed Assembly Park and feature 180,000 square feet of creative office space.  There will also be an additional 16,000 square feet of retail and dining space as well as more than 300 apartments and townhomes.

Triten founder Scott Arnoldy says that designers saw the potential or reinvent the space during the depths of the COVID-19 quarantine.

“Working with the city to embrace the Oak Point vision plan’s designation of a Village, we believe we have created a plan for a truly unique place to come work, live, or dine in a thoughtfully conceived development made for the post-COVID lifestyle,” he said in a release announcing the plans.

Those lifestyle amenities will include new parks and green spaces featuring a kids playground, dog park, and event stage.  In addition to musical performances that space is expected to host things like fitness classes, movie screenings, farmer’s markets and festivals.

Site work is expected to begin before the end of the year. The first offices are slated to open in late 2022.
