Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen, a popular modern-American restaurant, is coming to Allen. Opening at Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm this spring, the restaurant will bring its elevated Southern dishes. Sugarbacon’s flagship location is in Downtown McKinney, and this outpost will be its first expansion.
“Our restaurant quickly made its mark amongst McKinney locals, and now it’s time to share our one-modern American dishes with a southern twist with the Allen community. Watters Creek lacks a really great steak place right now, so we’re very excited to bring high-end steaks to this area. With incredible food and specialty mixed cocktails, coupled with a contemporary ambiance and an energetic bar, we believe Sugarbacon will be really special in Watters Creek,” said Michael Kim, owner of One Esca, a Sugarbacon franchisee.
At Sugarbacon, patrons can enjoy filet, NY strip, ribeye, short rib, grits and shrimp, crawfish pot pie and other Southern dishes. There is an array of drinks on the menu, with a focus on dark liquor and specialty cocktails. Thirty different bourbons and local beers on tap are available from the bar. Its “Heavenly Happy Hour” is Monday through Thursday, 4-7 p.m.
The Allen location of Sugarbacon will be 2,800 square feet with a 500-square-foot patio.
